Pencil Wreath Teachers Gift
I’m sure this isn’t the first teachers pencil gift DIY you’ve seen around. I’ve seen plenty of pencil wreaths made using regular pencils and I thought it was such a cute idea. However I wanted to figure out a way to make the pencils pop more. Regular pencils have such tiny details and when combined with other elements could be hard to see.
So, I was watching a youtube video today and they interviewed a teacher asking what kind of gifts teachers like most. Apparently they LOVE gift cards.. HAHA hey but who doesn’t right 😉! I guess I was taken off guard a bit because, it’s not something I would think to give. LOL Gift cards are usually my last resort. Like when I absolutely can’t think of anything to give a person then I’ll give them a gift card. Do you do that to?
Last year we made our teacher some string art. I thought it was the cutest thing ever. It was a project that was a bit harder to put together. So, this year we decided to do a bit of both. Some harder DIY gifts and easier ones. I would have to say of all three gifts we made this year this one is the hardest.
Ok so many of you ask this question…, If you’re wondering how Oleg has three teachers. He doesn’t. We plan on giving one to his teacher and two gifts to his favorite ladies at the office. 😃
You know…, now that I think about it I wonder how teachers keep track of all the gifts they get. They probably have a whole room dedicated just for gifts from their students. LOL😂😁

Here are three more gift ideas you’ll love..,
Assembling your teachers gift
We took plenty of picture during the process so it’s easier to understand. To begin start by cutting down all your paint stirrers to look like pencils. We took off about 3 inches off the length as well.
Then paint your paint stirrers to look like pencil using your yellow pink and silver paint.
We also used a thin marker to add details to the pencils.
Following that lay down 4 paint stirrers around your craft ring only to support the pencils you’ll be display. You will not be gluing your pencil to them.
So we first lay out all our pencils making sure that’s how we wanted them and well as making sure they were even. We had a total of two layers of pencils. To begin attaching them to the craft ring we removed the top layer and glued the first layer to the craft ring then went onto gluing the second layer on top of the first layer of pencils.
Following that we painted our wooden sign with some black chalk paint and used a chalk marker to write his teachers name. To attach our ruler around the edges we used some hotglue. And to finish it off we attach the sign to the center of our wreath and that’s it!
Here’s the quick video
